Here's a few freeware applications that I use all the time, more will be added as I think of them

• Computing - I'm afraid I'm your archetypal Geek, I have a love/hate relationship with computers, have done for some 30 years. Many concentrate on the windows environments these days. Below I have listed for download some freeware apps that are incredibly useful, I'll be adding to these as and when i stumble across them.
  • Rom Zipper - This app allows you to zip up a series of directories and gives each zip the name of the directory, a very very useful tool
  • Extract Now - This extracts the contents on virtually any archive (even if the ext name is wrong) to individual directories. Homepage

  • AVAST - An excellent free Anti virus software suite for the PC, go HERE to download from the official site.
  • SUPERANTISPYWARE - A superb antispyware package for the PC, go HERE to download the latest version from the home site.
  • MALWAREBYTES - An excellent malware detector, there is a free version and a one time payment version. Excellent product. Go HERE to download
  • PictureTray - This is an excellent piece of freeware that enables you to resize pictures in batch mode, excellent down downsizing pictures for the internet. Homepage
